One Customer's Experience
Seeking to honor the Lord Jesus Christ in all our business dealings

On my first order I purchased the Cox Handi-Guide manual for the Xerox 1012 /5012/ 5011/ 5014 . It was helpful but as your web site says I find it more or less intended for the experienced technician- which I am not! I'm a guy who's dabbled with radios, TV's and just about anything else that's electrical and mechanical--but never played around with a copier before!

I got my Xerox 5014 for free when I bought a used car in November 2003 but just got around to cleaning it up and troubleshooting it a month ago!  I opened the machine up and tore it down pretty thoroughly!  Couldn't quite figure out how to remove the bottom paper module so I let it alone - Wouldn't you know it- that part of the machine would not feed paper! I wasn't brave enough to try and separate the two parts of the clamshell . At this time the "Handi-Guide" manual came in and it mentioned that you had to remove three screws which were buried quite well! Things go a lot easier when you aren't flying blind . The manual did prove to be handy.

On my second order I ordered Intravia's manual covering the 5014 and "The Copier Manual" The Copier Manual has been the best investment I made so far! It really is great for a novice like me! The author explains copier theory in plain language that's easy to understand and the diagrams, pictures and component diagnostics have me reading this book everyday - kind of like a good novel or magazine!
